End of Another Year

Another year is coming to a close, and I took the last week of the year off from work. I always try to take time off over the holidays, and my goal for this vacation was (as always 😉) straightforward: do as little as possible. And yes, I’ve achieved that goal.

It’s been a week of doing very little. A week of sitting at coffee shops and pondering life’s mysteries. A week of sleeping longer. A week of taking long naps. A week reading spy novels and watching so-so movies and not caring.

A week of getting lost in strange internet rabbit holes. A week of not checking work email. A week of spending time with immediate family. A week of perhaps — actually quite certainly — too much food and many cookies.

It’s been a week of just being and doing as little as possible. What a great week!
