Fall is here, and it’s suddenly sweater-and-scarf weather — the best season of the year! I also completed my first “epic train ride” from Greensboro to Boston. Well, maybe not “epic,” but it took a while.

Ok, here we go. here’s October:

• Train travel — I survived my first train ride in a long while, first, from Greensboro to D.C. on a “normal” Amtrak train and then on the Acela from D.C. Boston.
• Fall break — teenager came home for a few days 😀
• Another birthday — yes, I made another trip around the sun … phew!
• Thinking of moving to Raleigh — we’ve been spending a lot more time in the Raleigh-Durham area. Maybe we should consider moving there? 🤔
