June 2023

Things are slowly falling into place. More boxes have been unpacked. More items have been placed in their proper spots, and many have found new homes via Goodwill. My office is fully functional, and it’s “work work work” and some more travel. But there’s also quiet morning coffee on the patio — it’s not as big, of course, but still very nice and pleasant.

Oh June:

  • More work and more travel — this will hopefully slow down as we get into vacation season 😊
  • Juneteenth — another welcome holiday. We need more holidays!
  • Fewer boxes and less stuff — our new house is now more a home than a warehouse 😊
  • New life and new routines — I’ve started walking some of the gazillion trails around here. But summer is definitely coming fast and the morning are already very warm and very humid. So one better get up (very) early.
  • Stuff to do and stuff to see — we’ve always liked to visit the North Carolina Museam of Art (NCMA), and now we live really close 😊

Short version: June — things are slowly falling into place, and the new house is slowly transforming from a warehouse to a proper home.
