I just got back from my last work-related trip of the year. It has been a long year with a lot of travel and most of it on planes.

I’ve been thinking quite a bit about my online presence recently — about the platforms themselves, and whether I get any value from being on these platforms.

I started my crazy project last summer, and it was yet another attempt at deliberatively setting aside time to learn new technologies and skills.

Breaking news: I made my second batch of hummus today — from scratch! I don’t know why I waited so long to try this.

I have now been at it for a few months and am making so-so progress. I got a new blog up and running, but I’m not happy with the look and feel.

I had so many plans for the summer. I was going to do this, build that, go there, and so on. But then life happens. Work happens. Things happen. And plans need to adapt.
