September 2021

Labor Day came and went … again. The weather is (finally) no longer so oppressive and we’re renovating the kitchen. This project has been in the making for quite some time, and it’s finally happening. Of course, that means eating out every day, which has gotten really old really fast 🙁

September highlights:

  • Labor Day — we need more long weekends! I think I need to speak with the manager about this!
  • No kitchen — can’t wait for this project to finish. Working from home when they’re banging and drilling and sawing and banging and drilling more is exhausting.
  • Adventures in landscaping — I have shovels and pickaxes and hoes and a crazy idea that I can build a patio by myself in the front yard. Project goal: drinking coffee on the patio by December … we’ll see how crazy this is 🫣
  • COVID — yup, still a thing and still a mess 😐

Short version: September — lots of work. Driving “the teenager” to and from school. No kitchen. More work. At least the weather is better.
